Become a Volunteer

The Rocklin Unified School District (RUSD) appreciates families participating in their child's education by volunteering. Prospective volunteers are encouraged to start the process promptly to complete the necessary steps:

  1. Rocklin Unified uses the Informed K12 online platform for all volunteer applications. Prospective school district volunteers will need to create an account to complete the forms.
  2. Starting July 1, 2026, California Senate Bill 848 defines all volunteers as mandated reporters. Volunteers are now required to complete annual online training modules related to reporting suspected child abuse. Rocklin Unified uses PublicSchoolWORKS for this training. CLICK HERE to register for an account.
  3. Once the Principal and the District Office have approved your packet, you will receive a notification that your application has been processed.
  4. Your school site coordinator will also be notified and will let the teacher know you are cleared to volunteer.
