Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP)
The Rocklin Unified School District (RUSD) is excited to continue offering our summer Extended Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) for eligible students. ELOP provides a full-day experience that blends enrichment, recreation, hands-on learning, and student connection in a fun and engaging environment.Dates:
- Monday, June 15, 2026, through Friday, July 16, 2026 (No School on holidays: June 19, 2026, or July 3, 2026).
Summer ELOP Hours:
- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Summer ELOP includes opportunities such as:
- Outdoor play and physical activity
- Arts, crafts, and creative projects
- STEM and enrichment activities
- Games and team-building
- Reading and learning opportunities woven into the day
- Safe, caring supervision for working families

Secondary Summer School
The Rocklin Unified School District (RUSD) offers summer school to all students in grades 9-12 to recover credit that may not have been earned during the standard school year. All general education students will earn credit upon completing the prescribed curriculum in which he/she is enrolled. Summer school credit does not change the letter grade earned during the standard school year; however, it does provide the semester units the student needs toward graduation. Summer school credit may not be used to increase a grade to a B or higher.

Dates:
- Monday, June 15, 2026, through Friday, July 10, 2026 (No School on holidays: June 19, 2026, or July 3, 2026).
Summer School Hours:
- Early Session: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Late Session: 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Extended School Year (ESY) (Elementary & Secondary)
Students in the Rocklin Unified School District (RUSD) who qualify for Extended School Year (ESY) under their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will receive direct communication about ESY services, dates, and enrollment details. These TK-12 students receive intensive instruction in English-Language Arts, Mathematics, and speaking and listening skills as identified in their IEP. Qualified students will receive an invitation via email.
