As you know, each day our students are with us is an opportunity to make strong connections. You, our teachers and staff, provide these important moments. When a student nervously stands in front of the classroom to present a project and their teacher gives them a reassuring nod or when a student is introduced to their new favorite book by their enthusiastic teacher --- these are just some of the moments that truly make a difference in the lives of Rocklin Unified students.
These moments don’t happen by happy accident. It is the dedication of you, our wonderful RUSD teachers, that create the moments that impact our students. Teachers are the cornerstone of our district, the superheroes who guide our students through their education and beyond. I honor our educators, para-educators and staff everyday, and this week, especially, in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week.
Thank you for working as a team, for bringing your energy to the classroom, for going above and beyond, for being flexible in times of change, for remaining steadfast in your dedication to education, for finding excitement in the everyday and for being one of the most important people in your students’ lives. I am inspired by your work!
During school visits, I have the opportunity to chat with teachers and staff who have an energizing story or idea to share. This is the highlight of being your superintendent, serving to remind me just how important these moments are for all of us. Thank you to all of the teachers and staff in our district for everything that you do.
